VotingWorks Strengthens Board with Two New Appointments
VotingWorks, a nonpartisan nonprofit maker of voting technology, today announced the appointment of Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, Inc., and Raylene Yung, Board Member for the SolarAPP Foundation and U.S. Digital Response, to its Board of Directors.
VotingWorks is growing – 30% of New Hampshire now uses the VotingWorks system. The VotingWorks system is in process of achieving the latest federal certification for voting systems, a standard endorsed by both Democrats and Republicans. At a time when the American public demands elections that are fully open to scrutiny, VotingWorks is particularly well positioned to help as the only open-source voting system in America.
To support further growth, two appointments have been made to the Board of Directors, to provide deep public sector, program management, and legal expertise: Paul Grewal and Raylene Yung. These new members will complement the founding board members with expertise in advanced product development and security: John Lilly and Ben Adida.
“The response from election administrators to VotingWorks has been overwhelmingly positive, as many look to upgrade to a voting system their voters can trust. Now is the time to expand the expertise in our Board so we can continue to grow sustainably and provide better voting equipment across America.”
